Astral Aviation is the only licensed AN-12 operator based in East Africa, having acquired its Air Operator Certificate and Air Service License. It deploys AN-12s which are based in East Africa. It provides feeder services carrying fresh fish bound for Europe via Nairobi, operates relief flights to the East, Central, Southern and Horn of Africa regions, and operates a scheduled service for mining and project cargo from Nairobi to the mining sites of Tanzania. Astral provides a consolidation service for African cargo via Nairobi.
