Founded in 1960, Thai Airways has recently completed its cargo operation expansion project worth $7M enabling it to handle increased cargo shipments of its own and those of its 60 customer airlines at Bangkok Airport in a totally secure, enclosed and fully equipped area of 64,000sqm. Cargo handling capacity will rise from 330,000 tons per annum to 616,000 tons. It operates a B747 freighter service as well as belly-hold cargo. It has a partnership with the Star Alliance Group.
